Social Health Insurance Authority
Members' Charter
Your rights and duties as a member, as set out in Article 13 of the Authority’s by-law.
The right to full information
You have the right to know what your package covers, which facilities you can use, the facility level for each service, and which services need pre-authorization — all published on your package page.
The right to complain
If a service or payment is denied, you have the right to complain and to receive an answer. Every claim carries a traceable history; your confirmation of the services you received is part of that record.
Protection of your data
Your health and personal data are specially protected under Sharia and the data-protection law. Only your insurer, the facility treating you, and Authority staff — strictly when needed — can see it.
The right to the prescribed services
You are entitled to the services your package covers at any accredited facility contracted by your insurer, by showing your membership number.
Your duties
Pay your contributions on time; never lend your card; confirm honestly the services you received; and tell your insurer when your employment or family situation changes.
